Can you tell us about yourself and your company?
My name is Alan Aubin, and I’m a Senior Vice President of Small Business for EPIC Insurance. EPIC is a top-10 private brokerage in the country, founded in 2007, has grown mainly via acquisition, and has a national footprint.
My role at EPIC is to lead their small business initiative that we have branded Main Street. Our company has identified this segment as an important growth opportunity for the organization. But in order to grow in this segment, you need to do it profitably, and to do that; you need efficient business practices.
Can you tell us about how your agency uses the Nexsure Insurance Platform?
We chose the Nexsure Insurance Platform as our agency management system for small business. Nexsure provides a digital experience throughout the policy lifecycle, from submission to quoting to issuance, billing, and accounting. These capabilities are native to the system and can be found in one place.
While the capabilities of the system are paramount and the reason we chose Nexsure, we also knew that no technology was perfect out of the box. We knew we had the desire to co-create a comparative rater with preferred markets and customized workflows and enhancements based on frontline feedback.
Can you tell us about working with the XDTI Team?
Our experience building with XDTI has been fantastic. We have been able to bring to market a comparative rater platform and over 60 enhancements to our teammates. The collaboration, communication, and execution has blossomed into a preferred partner for our organization.
